Suavul ei cald sarut                                                 Her suave, warm kiss
Pe care ea mi l-a dat,                                          Which she gave me
Stand seara intins pe pat.                                     As I was lying on the bed at night
Pieptul azi il simt mai greu,                                                     My chest seems heavier tonight
Nu ma simt in largul meu                                 I do not feel at ease
Fiindca ea, iubita mea,                                                 Because she, my beloved one
Nu-i langa mine acuma                                It's far away from me
Sa ma plimb cu ea de brat                                                    To walk the paths with her aside
Sa ma simt din nou barbat,                                       To make me feel a man again
Sa fiu protectorul ei                                                    To be her everyday protector
S-o prezint si alor mei,                                              To introduce her to my folks
Buni prieteni si apoi                                                And to my friends and then
S-o prezint si mamei mele                                            To introduce her to my mother
Cu o calda mangaiere:                                                 With a warm and comfort caress:
Uite mama! ea e fata,                                             Look mother! she is the girl
Ce mi-a inseninat viata.                                                 Who gave a meaning to my world.
